These days we have people paying upfront to play unfinished products and developers promising everything between here and the sun to raise money, and I'm not sure we as players should put much stock in claims that this or that 'will be done' at some undetermined time. I wouldn't ascribe a bit of caution on the part of players to conspiracy theories or having an agenda.
